Change Property Owner from Property & Tenancy Pages
You can now change the property owner directly from both the Property and Tenancy action menus. This new option, "Change Property Owner", gives you the flexibility to:
🔍 Select an existing person to become the new owner, or
➕ Create a new person to assign as the owner.
Once selected, the new person will automatically be set as the landlord of the property.
⚠️ Please note: Any existing invoices, maintenance jobs, or rent demands linked to the previous landlord will not be updated to reflect the new owner. These will remain assigned to the original landlord for record-keeping and audit purposes.
💡 Why this matters for your agency:
- Saves time by reducing admin when ownership changes.
- Improves accuracy by ensuring the right person is linked as landlord.
- Supports compliance by maintaining historical financial records.
