Ability to update contract start dates during pre-tenancy in PM
What’s new
You can now update a tenancy’s Contract Start Date in PM from the Agreements tab while the tenancy is still in pre-tenancy. This brings PM in line with the existing experience in Core and makes it easier to keep tenancy details accurate before move-in.
Once the tenancy moves beyond pre-tenancy, the Contract Start Date will remain locked and can no longer be changed.
What this means for you
This gives you more flexibility to correct or adjust tenancy start dates without relying on workarounds outside PM. It helps reduce admin time, keeps records accurate before a tenancy begins, and creates a more consistent experience across Dezrez products.
It’s important to note that changing the Contract Start Date will not automatically update the Next Payment Date or Payment Day. If needed, these should be reviewed and updated manually so you can stay in control of payment timing and any related rent demands.
