What’s new:
When Property Management stops you cancelling an invoice because a payment has been allocated to it, the message now tells you which invoice is blocking you. It names the invoice by the same number you see on screen.
This applies wherever a cancel is refused, including when you cancel a tenancy renewal or remove a rent demand.
What this means for you:
You can go straight to the right invoice, reverse what’s needed and try again, even when the invoice isn’t the one in front of you.
Where you’ll see it:
On a tenancy: Account → Receivable → Cancel invoice, Rent Schedule when removing a rent demand, and when cancelling a tenancy renewal.
What’s new:
The address field in your Dezrez Post templates has a new option, List Each Member’s Address. When you turn it on for a joint tenancy where the tenants live at different addresses, the agreement names each tenant with their own address. For example: “Mr A Smith and Ms B Jones of 1 High Street and 2 Station Road respectively.”
It’s off by default, so none of your existing templates change.
What this means for you:
Joint tenancy agreements can show each tenant’s own address. It’s an option rather than automatic because the same field is used on letters to joint landlords and companies, where one postal address is needed.
Where you’ll see it:
In Dezrez Post, open your tenancy agreement template and select the tenant address field. At the bottom of its options, switch on List Each Member’s Address, then save your changes. We recommend turning it on for your tenancy agreement template only.
Once it’s saved, generate one agreement for a joint tenancy where the tenants live at different addresses, to check it shows both before you send any out.
What’s new:
Since our last update we’ve made a series of improvements, with a particular focus on deposits and paying landlords.
There are also a number of smaller improvements behind the scenes.
What this means for you:
You can do more yourself, and the figures you see are ones you can rely on.
