We’ve introduced a new system preference that controls how tenancy compliance is applied across Dezrez and Property Management. This is an important step in helping agents prepare for the upcoming Renters Reform changes and manage tenancies with greater confidence.
What’s new
Consistent tenancy compliance across Dezrez and PM
A single setting now manages how tenancy compliance is applied, helping ensure consistency wherever you create or manage tenancies.
Clear default tenancy types
You can now define which default tenancy type is applied to new tenancies:
- Periodic Assured Tenancy
- Welsh agreement / occupation contract
Automatic location‑based selection
Once chosen, the default tenancy type is applied automatically based on location:
- Branch – using the postcode of the branch linked to the property
- Property – using the postcode of the property itself
This helps ensure the correct tenancy type is applied without manual checks.
Why this matters for your business
- Be better prepared for Renters Reform with clearer, more controlled tenancy compliance
- Reduce admin and errors by automatically applying the right tenancy type
- Support England and Wales requirements within the same system
- Save time for your team while improving confidence and consistency
By bringing tenancy compliance under one clear setting, Dezrez continues to support agents as a one‑stop shop—helping you stay compliant, reduce risk, and manage lettings and property management more efficiently as legislation evolves.
