What's new:
A series of improvements to landlord payments, with a particular focus on Money Due Out. Performance has been improved, so payment runs complete more quickly, including on larger accounts.
The figures on the payment screens are also more accurate. Landlords appear in Money Due Out without needing their record opened first. The amount to pay out and the closing balance reflect landlords who hold more than one tenancy. Deductions that have already been paid no longer carry forward to later runs. Invoices carrying a fee that comes to nothing no longer hold up a payment. And where a property changes hands, balances follow the property to the new owner.
A number of smaller improvements have also gone in behind the scenes.
What this means for you:
Paying landlords is quicker, and the figures on screen can be taken at face value without checking them back against the account.
Where you'll see it:
Property Management, Accounts, Money Due Out and the property payment screens.
What's new:
A series of improvements to deposits, with a particular focus on reversals. Reversing a deposit release returns the deposit to Protected, and reversals of deposit transfers and releases work correctly for landlord-protected deposits as well as custodial and insurance-based schemes. Where a reversal would leave a protected deposit out of step with the scheme, it is now blocked and explained, so the protected balance and the scheme stay in agreement.
Deposits show in Money Due In, including tenancies that owe nothing but a deposit. The balance shown before you confirm a reversal or an adjustment now matches the balance you end up with afterwards.
What this means for you:
Deposits and the scheme stay in step, and the figure you see before confirming is the figure you get, so there is less need to go back and check what a reversal did.
Where you'll see it:
Property Management, Accounts, and the Deposits views on the tenancy and contact records.
What's new:
When you generate statements or payment reminders for a group of landlords or tenants, you are now told whether any did not go out, which landlords or tenants they were, and why. The rest of the run is unaffected and still goes through.
What this means for you:
You can follow up anything that needs a second attempt straight away, rather than finding out later that a landlord or tenant was missed.

Property Management, Accounts, Customer Accounts.
