Property Management: confirm the account your payment is sent from

3rd September 2026

Confirm the account your payment is sent from

What's new:
When you send a payment through Property Management, the review step you see before submitting a payment now tells you which client account the payment will be sent from — the account name and the last four digits of the account number — so you can check it before going ahead. For security, only the name and last four digits are shown, never full bank details.

What this means for you:

Payments are always sent from the client account held in Property Management. If you then authorise the payment from a different account with your bank, it may not go through. Until now the review step didn't tell you which account that was, so a failed payment could look like it had come out of nowhere.

Seeing the account at the moment you're about to send means you can spot a mismatch straight away, rather than finding out after the payment has failed.

Where you'll see it:
Property Management → Money Due Out → Process & send statements → Transfer payments, at the review step just before you submit.

Improvements to the accuracy of what Property Management shows

What's new:
This release also includes a series of improvements, with a particular focus on the accuracy of the figures and records Property Management shows you.

Reversals of transfers between property accounts now appear in All Transactions as a matching pair, so a reversal can be seen and traced. Some reversals made in the past were recorded correctly but never displayed — you may now see these appear on an account.

Landlord management fee invoice totals now match the Fees Charged figure on the Rent Schedule, and rent that fell due on the last day of a month now shows as overdue rather than not yet due.

Alongside these, a number of smaller improvements behind the scenes: correspondence packs now attach one copy of each document instead of two, a property no longer stays with its previous owner once ownership has been changed, and pet deposits are now cancelled automatically when the renewal that created them is cancelled — unless money has already been received against one, in which case you'll be asked to reverse that first.

What this means for you:
Balances, fee totals and rent statuses are more dependable, and the records held against a landlord or property reflect what's true now.
