Adding a Note of Interest - Scottish Functionality

Adding a Note of Interest - Scottish Functionality

In this guide I’ll show you how to add notes of interest into the system.

See our video guide on 'How to add a note of interest' here

To add a note of interest onto a property first navigate to the property that you need, then navigate to the sub tab of offers.

When you’re on this section you’re able to see all of the offers and notes of interest that have previously been given for this property.

To add a note of interest onto a property you must first click Record new offer. Once you’ve done this it’ll open up the screen allowing you to add either an offer or note of interest. When the window appears you’ll be able to select a client, if they viewed the property before you’re able to select from the drop-down menu clients that have already viewed this property. If they have not then you simply search the database by clicking select different group.

Once you have selected a client you’re able to add a solicitor in for that person as well simply click add solicitor and search your database for a solicitor that thereafter. If the solicitor is not on the database then you can add a new solicitor from this section. Once you’re happy with the solicitor simply press OK.

On the right hand side of the screen you should be able to see the property details alongside some options on whether to add a note of interest on or an offer

Adding note of interest

If you need to add a note of interest on simply ticked the box that says note of interest and you can also fill in the box for on behalf of. You can add your notes onto that and once you’re happy with all of that simply press okay on the bottom right-hand side.

Adding an Offer

If you’d like to add an offer on the system, simply click the box that says offer then into the amount of the offer you can also add your notes into that as well. Once you’re happy with it simply press okay at the bottom right-hand side of the screen.

Once you’ve recorded your note of interest or offer you’ll be able to see two sections on the offer screen one for notes of interest and another for offer.

Converting a note of interest into an offer

If you have a note of interest on the system it will appear in the top section. To convert the note of interest into an offer simply click on it into the amount of the offer, double check that the details are correct and simply press save. This has now added your note of interest into the system as an offer.

Changing the offer status

Once your offer is in the system it will automatically go into a pending status. To change the status of this to either rejected or accepted simply click on the offer, you should see a drop-down on the pop-up window allowing you to change the status of the offer to accepted, rejected, pending, or withdrawn.

From here you’re able to select the option that you need and send the relevant letters at this point. You can do that by ticking a box to send the letters either via email or printed version.
