Advertising Posts Failing

Advertising Posts Failing

Overview

Advertising in Dezrez CRM (Rezi) allows agents to post property listings and updates to major property portals and marketing channels.
If an advertising post fails (e.g., property not appearing on portals, showing incorrect details, or update not publishing), it’s often due to missing property information, portal feed validation, or a temporary sync issue.

This article outlines the key user-side checks before escalation to the Feeds or Development teams.

Common Causes

  1. Missing or Invalid Property Data – Required fields such as address, tenure, price, or images are incomplete or incorrectly formatted.

  2. Portal Validation Errors – Rightmove, Zoopla, or OnTheMarket rejecting listings due to data structure or compliance requirements.

  3. Feed Delay or Sync Interruption – Feeds run periodically, and temporary sync failures can delay or block updates.

  4. Advert Already Live or Withdrawn – Attempting to repost or update a property with conflicting status.

Troubleshooting Flow

Step 1 – Check Property Record Completeness

  • Confirm the following mandatory fields are populated:

    • Address, price, tenure, and status (For Sale / To Let)

    • At least one property image

    • EPC details and property type

  • Ensure no unusual symbols or formatting in key fields.

👉 Update missing data, then retry advertising post.

Step 2 – Verify Property Status

  • Check whether the property is already Live, Withdrawn, or Under Offer.

  • If Live → make a small edit (e.g., update description) and trigger a Manual Resync to the portal feed.

  • If Withdrawn → ensure you are not re-advertising through the wrong workflow.

Step 3 – Monitor Feed Status

  • Go to: Rezi → Feeds → Portal Feed Monitor.

  • Check when the last successful sync occurred.

    • If recent → the post may appear on the next feed cycle.

    • If delayed or failed → note any error messages for escalation.

Step 4 – Browser & Cache

  • Clear browser cache and cookies.

  • Retry posting in Chrome or Edge.

Escalation Path

  • Level 1 (Support Agent) → Property data checks, property status validation, feed monitor review, browser reset.

  • Level 2 (Feeds / Technical Team) → Persistent portal rejections or repeated sync failures.

  • Level 3 (Development) → Confirmed feed-level outage or system-side posting issue.

Response flow for AI:

  1. Check property data → “Can you confirm the address, price, tenure, and images are all completed on the property record?”

  2. Check property status → “Is the property marked as Live or Withdrawn in Rezi?”

  3. Feed check → “Can you open the Portal Feed Monitor to see if the last sync shows as successful?”

  4. Browser/system check → “Let’s clear your cache and retry in Chrome or Edge.”

  5. Escalate if unresolved → “If the sync continues to fail, I’ll escalate to our Feeds team to check the portal connection.”

Tone for AI:

  • Clear, informative, and reassuring (“These issues are usually fixed once the property data and feed status are refreshed”).

  • Avoids technical jargon unless the user is an advanced agent.

  • Always closes with a next step or escalation.
