How to setup statements

In this guide I will show you how to setup a statement for use with PM.

This section will show you where to navigate, so you can edit an existing template. You may want to edit an existing template to make changes to the letters or emails within the system. 

Open Rezi Post (Navigate to  https://rezipost.dezrez.com ) so you can view all of the available packs.



Go to the list of Packs and click on the pack you need to edit. 



You will now see all of the packs available to choose from. The Pack that appears grey in colour is the default pack. This is the pack that Rezi will choose first when generating correspondence. 

Click on the pack that you want to view, to then edit.



Something you should be aware of that will help you edit the correct packs is that, all Letters are marked with a PDF logo, emails with an "@" symbol and Signable documents with a Blue "S"

Once you have clicked on Template, it will open inside of Google Chrome, in the bottom left-hand side of the screen. If you wish the document to open automatically in future simply click on the little arrow next to the document inside of chrome and click always 'Open documents.'

Double Click on the download and it should open within your Microsoft Word. With the Rezi Post sidebar open ready to edit the document. 

Note: You may need to click on the enable editing button at the top of your Microsoft Word before the side bar will open. 





At this point, you can click into the document and make changes to the text, the format, and the general layout of the document.
If you have only changed the text and no merge fields (info pulled onto the letter from Rezi), you can click on Save Template, Save changes to Rezi.



If you need to make a change to the existing merge field, using the mouse highlight the merge field (e.g.  <<APPL_groupname>>)  and you will see on the right-hand side formatting options are now visible for the highlight merge field. Depending on the field you will be able to change the currency, time and date layouts or address details and format etc.



If you need to add a new merge field into the template you are working in, navigate to the position you want to add the new merge field.

Remember to click Save Template when you have finished editing the template.

Using the options down the right hand side you can click and search for the merge field you need or you can click in the search option (the magnifying glass) and type what you are looking for. For statements specifically you can use words like 'Payment Statement' or 'Statement' to bring up the merge fields for this document.

Once you have found it, you will be able to change the formatting options and then insert the merge field.

Remember to click Save Template to Rezi when you have finished editing the template. When ever you use the template going forward it will include the merge fields selected.
