Resolving issue with property ID's

🎯 Purpose

To help users locate, confirm, and correct Property IDs in Rezi, especially when syncing, reporting, or linking records.

🧠 Use This When...

The user says:

  • “What’s the Property ID?”

  • “The ID on the listing doesn’t match what’s in Rezi.”

  • “This property has the wrong ID.”

  • “I can’t find the ID for a property.”

  • “Why are there two records with the same Property ID?”

🔍 Step-by-Step: Finding & Resolving Property ID Issues

1. Find the Property ID in Rezi

  • Go to the Property Record via global search or property list.

  • The Property ID is displayed:

    • In the property overview/header

    • Or within the internal notes tab (depending on your version of Rezi)

📌 The Property ID is a unique system-generated number used to identify the property across Rezi, portals, and reports.

2. Confirm the Property Record Is Correct

Before using or sharing the ID:

  • Check the address is accurate (postcode and house number)

  • Ensure you're not viewing an archived or duplicated record

⚠️ Sometimes users accidentally pull up an archived or inactive listing. Make sure the record is current.

3. Check for Duplicate Records

If a user reports two IDs for what seems to be the same property:

  • Use address or postcode search to compare records.

  • Look at creation dates, owner/vendor links, and current status.

If duplicate records exist:

  • Flag them internally to be merged or removed by your admin or support team.

  • Avoid editing both – this causes data conflicts and portal sync errors.

4. Correct Mismatched IDs in Communications or Portals

If the wrong Property ID is being:

  • Displayed on a portal (e.g. Rightmove, Zoopla)

  • Shared with a solicitor or vendor

  • Used in a report or mail merge

→ Identify the correct ID in Rezi and update it:

  • In the related document/template

  • In the associated transaction/applicant record

  • Within any export or sync path

💡 For synced portals, it may take a few minutes or a full sync cycle for the ID to update on the front-end.
