Re-listing a Property after a sale falls through

Re-listing a Property after a sale falls through

🎯 Purpose

To guide users through the correct steps in Rezi to:

  • End a failed sale

  • Re-activate the property listing

  • Return the property to portals and available stock

🧠 Use This When...

Customer says:

  • “The sale has fallen through — what do I do now?”

  • “I need to put a property back on the market.”

  • “How do I re-list a property after a buyer pulls out?”

  • “Rezi still shows the property as under offer.”

  • “I want to reactivate a withdrawn sale.”

🔍 Step-by-Step: Re-listing the Property

1. Go to the Property Record

  • Use the global search to find the property.

  • Click into the Property Profile.

2. Remove the Accepted Offer

  • Navigate to the Offers tab.

  • Locate the accepted offer and click “Withdraw” or “Sale Fallen Through”, depending on your Rezi version.

  • Add a reason or comment (e.g. “buyer financing fell through”).

📌 This will:

  • Change the offer status

  • Revert the applicant’s status to “offered”

  • Update the property status to Available

3. Confirm Property Status is Updated

  • Check the property is now set to Available in Rezi.

  • If needed, manually update it via the Property Summary → Status field.

4. Re-check the Portals

  • Rezi should re-sync the property with portals like Rightmove or Zoopla.

  • Wait a few minutes, then check the public listing.

  • If it doesn’t appear:

    • Go to Marketing → Portal Sync

    • Push a manual sync if available

    • Or contact support if the listing isn’t updating

5. Re-market or Create a New Listing (Optional)

If a new marketing push is needed:

  • Create a new window card or marketing brochure

  • Inform buyers who had previously registered interest

  • Consider amending the listing (price, photos, text) to attract fresh attention

⚠️ Common Pitfalls & Fixes

ProblemSolution
“Property is still showing as under offer”                Make sure the accepted offer was properly withdrawn
“Portals aren’t updating”                Wait a few minutes or push a manual portal sync
“A new offer came in before I removed the last”                Withdraw the previous one before accepting a new offer
“The listing is duplicated on portals”                Contact support — this may require syncing cleanup
