How to Update or Correct Contact Details

How to Update or Correct Contact Details

🎯 Purpose

To guide users through finding and updating contact details for a person or company record in Rezi, whether fixing an error or updating new information.

🧠 Use This When...

The user asks:

  • “How do I change a customer’s email address or phone number?”

  • “The details are wrong on a contact record.”

  • “How do I update someone’s contact information?”

  • “I need to fix a typo in a client’s name/address.”

🔍 Step-by-Step: Updating Contact Details in Rezi

1. Search for the Contact

  • Use the Global Search Bar at the top of Rezi.

  • Type the name, company, or email address of the contact.

  • Click on the correct record in the results.

💡 Tip: If you’re unsure which record is correct, check the linked property or applicant profile to confirm.

2. Open the Contact Record

  • Once in the profile, click the “Edit” button (usually a pencil icon) on the Contact Details section.

3. Make the Necessary Changes

You can update:

  • First and Last Name

  • Email address

  • Phone number(s)

  • Postal address

  • Preferred contact method

  • Notes (e.g. “use work number during weekdays”)

📌 Avoid duplicate entries by updating the existing contact rather than creating a new one.

4. Save Your Changes

  • Click “Save” to commit the update.

  • Rezi will automatically sync these details across linked profiles (e.g. vendors, applicants, tenancies).

✅ You should see a confirmation or toast message once saved.

5. Confirm It’s Updated in Linked Areas

If the contact is linked to:

  • A property listing (e.g. vendor/landlord)

  • A transaction (e.g. buyer/tenant)

  • A group/company profile

Check that the updates are reflected correctly in all associated records.

⚠️ Common Pitfalls & Tips

ProblemSolution
