What to do after an offer is accepted

What to do after an offer is accepted

🎯 Purpose

To guide agents through the immediate steps required in Rezi once a buyer’s offer has been accepted — including setting statuses, generating documentation, and initiating sales progression.

🧠 Use This When...

A customer says:

  • “I’ve accepted an offer — what now?”

  • “How do I progress the sale in Rezi?”

  • “What happens after an offer is accepted?”

  • “I’m not sure what I need to do next.”

  • “How do I issue a memorandum of sale?”

🔍 Step-by-Step: After an Offer is Accepted in Rezi

1. Mark the Offer as Accepted

  • Go to the Offers tab on the property or applicant profile.

  • Select the relevant offer and click “Accept Offer”.

  • Rezi will prompt you to confirm the details — review carefully and save.

✅ This automatically updates the applicant and property status to "Under Offer".

2. Update the Property & Applicant Status

  • Property: should show as "Under Offer" on the listing.

  • Applicant: status will move to “In Progress” for that transaction.

💡 This change also impacts portal listings and visibility.

3. Generate the Memorandum of Sale

  • Navigate to the Documents tab within the property or transaction.

  • Select “Create New Document” → “Memorandum of Sale”.

  • Complete the required fields:

    • Buyer & Vendor details

    • Agreed sale price

    • Solicitor information (if known)

    • Key dates (optional at this stage)

  • Save and send to relevant parties.

📎 You can send via email or download as a PDF.

4. Enter Solicitor Details

  • Go to the Contacts tab and add or update:

    • Vendor’s solicitor

    • Buyer’s solicitor

  • Make sure email addresses and phone numbers are included for future correspondence.

5. Start Progression Notes (Optional but Recommended)

  • Use the Progression Notes section to log:

    • Milestones (e.g. searches ordered, surveys booked)

    • Communication with solicitors, buyers, and vendors

    • Target completion dates or special conditions

🧠 These notes help the whole office stay aligned during the sales progression process.

6. Notify Portals and Update Marketing

  • Rezi should automatically update portals (e.g. Rightmove) to reflect the under-offer status.

  • You can also:

    • Hide the listing from portals manually

    • Mark it as SSTC if you choose to do so early
