Why is my listing not appearing on portals?

🎯 Purpose

To help diagnose and resolve cases where a property is not displaying on external portals (Rightmove, Zoopla, OTM, etc.), despite being listed in Rezi.


🧠 Use This When...

The customer says:

  • “My listing isn’t showing on Rightmove”

  • “The property is live in Rezi but not on the portals”

  • “It’s been over an hour and it’s still not online”

  • “Only some images/details are showing”

  • “It was live but now it’s disappeared”


🔍 Step-by-Step Checklist

1. ✅ Confirm It’s Supposed to Be Live

Ask the customer:

  • Has the status been set to Live in Rezi?

  • Have they selected the relevant portal(s) for marketing in the configure portals section?

“Can I check — has the listing been marked as 'Live' and are portals ticked in the marketing options?”


2. 🔍 Review Listing Requirements

Confirm that the listing meets minimum content requirements for portal sync. Missing or invalid data may block the feed.

Checklist:

  • Required Address fields is fully entered

  • Price is filled and in correct format (e.g. £100,000 not £100k)

  • Images included (usually 1+ minimum)

  • ⚠️ Descriptions must not contain special characters or broken formatting (common blocker)

  • EPC rating provided (some portals require this)

  • Branch details assigned

“Sometimes portal feeds silently reject properties with incomplete descriptions, formatting issues, or missing legal info.”


3. ⏱️ Check Portal Sync Timing

Ask:

  • When was the listing made live?

  • Has the customer allowed time for the portal feed to update?

Most feeds sync every 15–60 minutes, depending on portal and configuration.

If it’s been less than 1 hour, advise waiting and checking again.

“It can sometimes take up to an hour for listings to appear after going live — let’s give it a little time and recheck.”
